Transformation Matrix Polar To Cartesian4/19/2021
The Nakazima-type formability tests have been performed for the as-received steel blank and for the blank pre-strained by13.Patil University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign How to transform stiffness matrix from Polar to Cartesian I have an orthotropic stiffness matrix tensor in polar coordinates (r,theta and z) and want to transform it to a cartesian system (x,y,z).
How can I do that Thought of using transformation matrix (Qij) corresponding to rigid rotation of a coordinate system but I guesss that is not applicable here as I am not rotating my system but transforming from cylindrical to cartesian. After resulting the displacement vector, I use that set of data to compute the strain and stress vectors using the following equation: epsilonstrain-displacement matrixdisplacement vector I conduct this equation for every single Gauss point, therefore I end up 4 sets of vectors for every single element. My question is that as I compared my results with the software, I realized that my results showing the strain and stress magnitudes on the Gauss points. How should I map my results to the node to get the nodal strain and stress values I would appreciate your valuable comments. Thanks. The suitable FEM model is a model with an applied displacement BCs. The response of the model can be obtained by the Stress-strain curve, stresses are computed by the ratio between the internal reaction forces victor to cross section of the model or the section of the ligament. Transformation Matrix Polar To Cartesian Crack And AIn a same fashion, we attempted to used a FEM analysis to validate results obtained by an analytical method, it is a structure containing a crack and a load (a stress) applied to the upper boundary, results are obtained in term of Load-Crack length curves. Using a commercial FEM code a similar FEM model was made and instead of a Stress applied to the upper face, a displacement was applied to the same boundary and the stress at the initiation of failure was computed from output of the total reation forces devided by the cross section area of the ligament. ![]() I have been wondering whether such confrontation is possible since we have made a FEM model with displacement applied boundary conditions.
